Day 5 in Banff, we go on a helicopter ride to mount assiniboine, on the gondola to sulpher mountain

Day 5: Banff
View of mountains from helicopter pad, 7 seater helicopter As we take off we fly into the valleys some fantastic awesome views that you cannot see from ground level. We then fly towards glaciers and see some ice waterfalls. As we go from the greenery towards the glaciers we notice quite a temperature change. Quite an awesome experience as we hover a few feet above some glaciers. We fly to a max of about 9000 feet and at speeds of 120mph.

After that we head back into downtown Banff for a spot of lunch. We went to a chinese restuarant for a quick bite, before heading up to Sulphur Mountain on the 4 seater gondola. The chinese was ok, quite fair standard but compared to the food on the rest of the tour so far then it was below that quality.

On the gondola on the way up you could see the footpath that the walkers face. Fantastic views at the peak and there is a timber footpath to another peak. Very awesome, windy and slightly cold, I wish I had trousers on! We saw a family of deers and at the other peak there were a family of chipmunks running around.
